Finalized in 1895, a fully functional copy - made by Maurizio Bigazzi, historical and scientific advisor of the Guglielmo Marconi Foundation - is now kept at Villa Griffone,  in Pontecchio Marconi (Bologna).

Marconi Coherer receiver for Wireless Telegraphy is constituted by:

  • a Coherer tube installed on a bunk device with a decohering vibrating engine on it;
  • a spark resistance to suppress local noises;
  • a column polarized relay;
  • a telegraph sounder;
  • an electric bell;
  • a lever switch;
  • an antenna and a picket to base on the ground.

The receiver is  powered by dry battery which is in the same machine box.
